Insider, The
Insider, The (1999)

IMDB rating: 7.90

Plot: This film tells the true story of Jeffrey Wigand, a former tobacco executive, who decided to appear on the CBS-TV News show “60 Minutes.” As matter of conscience partially prodded by producer Lowell Bergman, he revealed that, the tobacco industry was not only aware that cigarettes are addictive & harmful, but deliberately worked on increasing that addictiveness. Unfortunately, both protagonists of this story learn the hard way that simply telling the truth is not enough as they struggle against both Big Tobacco’s attempts to silence them and the CBS TV Network’s own cowardly complict preference of putting money as a higher priority over the truth.

Directors: Mann Michael

Actors: Pacino Al,Crowe Russell,Plummer Christopher,Hall Philip Baker,Tobolowsky Stephen,Feore Colm,McGill Bruce,Gambon Michael,Torn Rip,Biography,Drama,Thriller,

The Bachelor: Do people already know who he chooses?
Is there an insider scoop somewhere that tells who he chooses? Some people on here seem very positive about the outcome. Does anyone know for sure if he stays with his choice or if he dumps her like the other bachelors do once they get them for a while?

The insider scoop is a blog called Reality Steve.com. He was the first one who revealed Vienna as the winner and the first one to say Rozlyn was the contestant who was going to be kicked off for having a inappropriate relationship. Supposedly, he has good insider sources.

It’s a very long blog. He watches it and gives his thoughts of each episode every week.

so far, no one really said anything about it. but i doubt that, even if he does choose one in the end, he’s probably not going to stay with her.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)

IMDB rating: 8.30

Plot: It is the story of one Mr. Fox and his wild-ways of hen heckling, turkey taking and cider sipping, nocturnal, instinctive adventures. He has to put his wild days behind him and do what fathers do best: be responsible. He is too rebellious. He is too wild. He is going to try “just one more raid” on the three nastiest, meanest farmers that are Boggis, Bunce and Bean. It is a tale of crossing the line of family responsibilities and midnight adventure and the friendships and awakenings of this country life that is inhabited by Fantastic Mr. Fox and his friends.

Directors: Anderson Wes

Actors: Clooney George,Schwartzman Jason,Murray Bill,Wolodarsky Wallace,Anderson Eric Chase,Gambon Michael,Dafoe Willem,Wilson Owen,Cocker Jarvis,Anderson Wes,Hurlstone Robin,Guinness Hugo,Adventure,Animation,Comedy,

Anyone have a current movies list so far?
Just a list of my top 3 movies released in 2009 as well as ones at the bottom of barrel:

1. Fantastic Mr. Fox- Very funny and enjoyable from start to finish.

2. The Blindside- A nice feel good film, worth watching.

3. Up- Another good one, the type of film to watch on a saturday night.

2nd list-bottom of the barrel

1. Medea goes to jail-Not one of Tyler Perry’s best films and Avatar(tie)-In the long run my older brother and I decided that Fantastic Mr. Fox was a better film.

2. Michael Jackson’s This is It- I do like a lot of his songs but I wasn’t too crazy about it.

3. Julie & Julia- Not a bad film but probably one I won’t watch again for a while.

Anyone have a top 3 and bottom of the barrel list?

1. The Hurt Locker - I related a lot to Jeremy Renner’s character about why we do the things we do.
2. The Road - I am fan of Cormac McCarthy and loved this movie. Some parts of the film left me feeling quite disturbed because I wondered How many of us would be like them?
3. Up - I have to agree with you there. The first 10 minutes are sheer brilliance. Fantastic movie.

My Bottom of the Barrel list include:
1. Angels and Demons - Although Ron Howard has Cinderella Man under his belt I absolutely hated this movie. None of the actors had chemistry with each other.
2. 2012 - Bad graphics, bad acting and ridiculous dialogue, enough said.
3. Couples Retreat - I like Vince Vaughn but yet again another failure from him.
